Yes we raise lots of money for charity, yes often the only time you see us we're looking cheesy holding a giant cheque in the paper, and yes some of us could have modelled for the image below... but Round Table is not all about charity, cheques and beer guts - they're just a by-product.

What it's really about is giving us blokes an opportunity to get out of the house every 2nd Wednesday night and having fun. Be that karting, shooting, bowling or just some pool, a few pints and a curry.

Right now we have around 15 members, some in their 20's some in their 50's and all from various walks of life, but all have one thing in common - they choose to say 'no' to another night in front of the telly.

As well as the usual fortnightly meetings we also try and have 1 or 2 bigger trips a year - recently we all travelled over to Rome to watch the Rugby and last year we had a cracking weekend in Dublin.

Of course we do have a more formal side - Round Table is an organisation with over 80 years of history and with that comes a certain amount of tradition. But that doesn't mean we have 'secret handshakes', just that when we do meet formally at one of our 6 or 7 Business Meetings a year we pop on a suit and deal with the requests for help we've recieved or the events we're organising with a certain level of professionalism. However, we'll still usually get through a large volume of alcohol and enjoy some great food.

At the end of the day, Round Table is a great opportunity to get more out of life - get out, have fun, and even give a little back to your community every now and then. Why wouldn't you join?
